#3 DIFFERENT PERSPECTIVES

Liam and Michael about Chloe

Michael had been watching Chloe since they had briefly met at the hotel the evening before they sailed.
He had already decided that her beauty and elegance would be the perfect foil for his vast wealth of experience and knowledge, and money. Oh yes, with her on his arm, his social and business standing would soar.
The fact that she was just 20 years old was an added bonus for a 55 year old man to have as his wife.
Michael wanted her.
Michael was going to have her.
Michael was going to get her.
Starting now.

He walked over to her, not too fast, not too slow, laser focus on his goal, having already established that Liam was across the room in conversation with Julian.
As he sat down beside her he saw her close her eyes, tremble with emotion and move further away from him.
Michael’s confidence soard at her reaction.
He placed a hand on her thigh, she trembled again as he said quietly “it’s alright, I understand. I feel the same way.”
She was leaning away from him. Which would only be natural, he thought, considering how strongly she felt about him.
“I’m a civilian consultant with CSI, I run my own business and I travel all over the world as a consultant. The only thing I’m missing is a wife to accompany me..”
He paused as she gasped and her trembling became stronger.
She really wanted him.
He saw her breathing had become shallow and rapid, touching her thigh again, he felt an electric shock shoot up his arm, through his body and explode in his groin.
She leaned further from him.
“It’s alright. Being a virgin is nothing to be ashamed of. I’m very experienced and I’ll make sure your first time will be amazingly memorable….”
He paused as he heard Chloe stifle a sob, felt her push past him as she struggled to get up from the old, saggy sofa, and watched as she grabbed her coat and ran from the building.
*** *** *** *** ***
Liam was deep in conversation with Julian, finding out how he was going to operate all his equipment without any electricity, when something told him to look up at Chloe.
There was Michael moving towards her with the speed and stride length of a hunter stalking its prey.
Liam shifted his weight in preparation to intervene, but hesitated, waiting to see exactly what Michael was doing. He couldn’t really have a go if all he was doing was sitting down and having a chat.
He watched Michael sit down, Chole move away with a shudder, Michael move closer and put his hand inappropriately high on her leg, leave it there for a few seconds, then remove it.
Liam took a deep breath.
Michael was saying somthing and Chloe’s body language was screaming horror and disgust.
Liam started to walk over to them , determined to give Michael a very large piece of his mind, when Michael put his hand even higher on Chloe’s thigh, lean in to her and say something to her that made Chloe cry out, push him out of the way, pull her coat off the rack and run from the building
Liam was following her when Michael grabbed his arm. “Don’t follow her, I made her an amazing job offer and she was so overwhelmed, she went to her croft to calm down and think it over.”
Liam gave him a look of pure hatred and walked away before he did somthing he’d regret.

#4 INNER THOUGHTS/TURMOIL

Chloe about Michael

Chloe sat on the elderly two seater sofa, her eyes closed, while she waited for Liam to finish his chat with Julian.
Suddenly, she felt a shiver race up her spine. She half opened her eyes.
Michael.
He was walking towards her. Maybe he’ll think I’m asleep and go away, she hoped. He sat beside her, as close as he could.
Chloe couldn’t stop a shudder of revulsion rippling through her body as she tried to move further away.
He put his hand on her thigh, suggestively intimate in its position.
He said something. Chloe didn’t hear what. She was trying to remain calm whilst trying to figure out how to get away.
She had to get away from him.
The claustrophobia was returning, she could feel it in the pit of her stomach.
He removed his hand and was talking again.
Her thoughts were racing as fast as her heart was beating.
She caught the word wife and inhaled sharply as the adrenaline kicked in, making her shake with reaction.
The fear and revulsion vanished and she was thinking clearly and escape was the only thing to do. Run. Far. Fast. Get away from the monster.

His hand was back higher and closer and he was talking about having sex with her.
No that was too much.
Her explosion into action was hampered by his proximity and the bad design of the sofa. But she got up and ran.
For the door, grabbing her coat as she went.
Chloe opend the door and ran out into the freezing January night, slamming the door behind her.
